Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA)

Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) have become an important part of the socio-economic life of rural communities. These associations have proven to be a sure way to economic emancipation of various vulnerable groups especially women.

WASADEV have formed and trained one hundred and seventeen (117) groups in fifty three (53) communities in seven (7) districts reaching a total of 2,626 beneficiaries (female=1,952, male=674) under the Sustainable Land and Water Management Project (SLWMP) implemented by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) and funded by World Bank(WB).
